Different, but that is OK

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was at my great uncle Juke’s farm (my grandmother Manda’s brother) outside of Gainesville, Georgia. There over EIGHTY people there, so it was a huge celebration. Manda is one of 6 children, so the generations and generations of family were so fun to be with. I also enjoyed chowing down on all the delicious food! I told Juke and his wife Harriet that since I couldn’t eat last year, I ate double this year! It was such a special day.

Jay was able to find the ‘lessons’ I had written on my computer, and I will post them later this week. One of the lessons is called ‘Contentment is not based on the Situation’. I think I lived that out this Thanksgiving. Even though I can’t hear where sounds are coming from and my voice sounds totally different, and I cannot even smile for all those family pictures, I choose to celebrate! I think there will always be something not perfect in my life, and yet I can still choose to enjoy life now, even when things are very different. Perhaps that is true for everyone in life and a lesson we all have to learn one way or another.

Now, as we all get ready for Christmas, I wish you a fabulous holiday season!

Love you all!
