FBC Update – Friday

By Jay Wolf (Katherine’s Father-in-law)

Katherine had a steady day yesterday. Our medical friends continue the attempt to open her natural brain drains by increasing the cranial pressure. The process slows Katherine’s responsiveness but is showing some results. However, her friend, Whitney, brought a “People” magazine and it received 2 “thumbs up” from Katherine! The medical team is fabulous and they are offering superlative care.

Katherine’s heart rate was high and she spiked a fever so they are backing off a bit on her breathing and physical therapy efforts. This is a huge battle. God encouraged Joshua as His people moved to new territory, “Be stong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:)

The Fox Television network in LA (Channel 11) did a story on Katherine yesterday. Additionally, I received a call from a newspaper reporter in Florida who was writing about Katherine. So the prayer team is growing and a powerful witness for King Jesus is being shared.

Thank you. We love you. Keep praying.

Know you are constantly in our prayers. I sent a cousin an email asking for prayers. She responded to the entire family (many I do not yet know) and sent back that Katherine in on the Tuscaloosa prayer list already. Be strong and courageous!
We love you all! Ed and Peggy

Katherine, Jay, and family. Our fervent prayers will not be diminished and we claim His healing miracles for Katherine. Beyond written and spoken word are volumes of continual prayers to produce miraculous energy for your family and phenomenal healing for Katherine. The best is yet to come – according to His word. Love Todd & Erna (BAPC)

Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers. Dr. Ron Phillips, the chancellor at Pepperdine just shared the tragic news and ask for prayer for Katherine yesterday. We are devastated for you and your families. But we are also confident that our Heavenly Father will use Katherine’s illness for his glory! He has already in countless ways. What a witness she is, even in her darkest hour! Katherine is one of the beautiful and amazing young women we’ve met in California. She is such a bright light in a dark place, and she has spread that light throughout the community. “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will rise up on wings like eagles. They will walk and not grow weary. They will run and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31. May God Bless you all! Love, Susan and Ken Wales, Pacific Palisades, CA (I grew up in Roanoke, Alabama so many of my friends in my hometown are praying for you too. )

I do not know you all; yet I’ve been moved in my spirit to pray for Katherine. God has touched a part of me that I can’t explain. Each day I can barely wait for my computer to boot to gain more information on Katherine’s progress. I’ve prayed for her intensely. Someone I’ve never met, never known, probably will never meet or know! Yet I’m compelled to interceede. I believe God is doing far more than we will ever realize. Not just for Katherine – but for a nation that has come together on her behalf. OH how I pray God will comfort each one of you – especially baby James! Bless you all – from a Mississippi girl!
